Marvelous Midwest Bookstore

Anderson’s Bookstore will host our 2019 Marvelous Midwest Conference Bookstore, offering books by our faculty and SCBWI member attendees, both PAL and independently published.

You must be a member of the 2019 conference faculty or a SCBWI Member registered for 2019 Marvelous Midwest to participate in the bookstore.

The Bookstore Hours will be:

Friday Consignment drop-off only 12-2PM; Open 2-5PM
Saturday 7:30 AM – 5PM
Sunday 11:30 AM-4:40 PM
The bookstore will accept Visa, MasterCard and cash only.

 

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE

Member Conference Attendees who are  PAL(Published And Listed) or  independently published, may request (1) book (up to 10 copies) to be available in our conference bookstore.

Marvelous Midwest Faculty members, may request up to (3) books (up to 10 copies each, more for keynote speakers) to be available in our conference bookstore.

 

PAL INSTRUCTIONS

If you want to take advantage of this opportunity provided at no additional charge, please follow the instructions below*:

FIRST: as a part of  your registration:  Check the box: ”I would like to participate in the  Marvelous Midwest Bookstore!” Complete your registration, including the payment process.

THEN: come back to this page (click on BOOKSTORE in the beige box) to enter your book information for the bookseller.

It is YOUR responsibility to submit accurate book title information by Friday, March 15, 11:59 PM, using the links provided below—no exceptions. After you have completed your registration come back to this page (Marvelous Midwest Bookstore) and go to the appropriate form through the links below to enter your information.

Please be prepared to provide the following information:
Your name & email address
If, as a SCBWI diverse author or illustrator, you want to be included in our section celebrating diverse book creators. The 2019 Marvelous Midwest bookstore follows the We Need Diverse Books definition of diversity.
Tell us if your title(s) is/are PAL or independently published
Book title(s)
ISBN(s)

*If Anderson’s is unable to provide your book, we will notify you and you will need to follow the DROP OFF & PICK UP instructions below.

 

INDEPENDENTLY PUBLISHED INSTRUCTIONS

If your title is independently published (or otherwise unavailable to Anderson’s) you may provide up to (10) copies of your book(s) to be sold on consignment in order to participate in the bookstore.

THEN: come back to this page (click on BOOKSTORE in the beige box) to enter your book information for the bookseller.

DROP OFF & PICK UP

Friday, May 3: 12:00 – 2:00 PM, drop off Independently Published Books at Bookstore
You are required to fill out a consignment form with Anderson’s. Expect the consignment agreement to be a 50-50 split of the cost of the book.
You will also be notified when to pick up your unsold books during another designated time frame at the conference.
Uncollected books will be donated to a Marvelous Midwest-specified organization, no exceptions.
