What benefits are available to all members?

The SCBWI website (www.scbwi.org) provides a wealth of information: Monthly contests, chat boards, opportunities, connections. Be sure to make full use of it!

Each year the SCBWI offers grants, awards, and scholarships to SCBWI members.

Use all the features of your very own Speaker Profile and Member Profile! It is easy to add links to photos, video clips, your website, or maybe a Youtube school visit video.
Links can be added to your Bio and/or Artist Statement boxes in your Member Profile and to your Speaker Profile. You can check out a Member Page to see what it looks like. https://www.scbwi.org/members/carrie-pearson/

Here’s how to add goodies to your Profiles:
Log in to www.scbwi.org
To add links to your Member Profile: Easy Version:
Click on My Home — upper right corner.
Click on Edit Profile — left sidebar.
Scroll to About Me box or further down to Artist Statement box. Either place is fine, you choose where you want link to appear.
Type the text you want someone to click on to reach your link, like “my website” or “click here for more information.”
Highlight it, then click on the insert hyperlink icon on the toolbar – third from the left on the second row – looks like a chain link with a green circle attached.
Your highlighted text should now have a red underline which means it is a live link. When clicked, it will link to the source.
Be sure to click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.
To add links to your Member Profile: More Advanced, but Doable and Cool Results Version:
Click on My Home — upper right corner.
Click on Edit Profile — left sidebar.
Scroll to About Me box or further down to Artist Statement box. Either place is fine, you choose where you want link to appear.
Copy an embed link (not a share link, embed is different code) from YouTube or other site you want to feature.
Go back to your Artist Statement or Bio box and click on the Show Source icon farthest to the right on second line.  Paste in the embed code.
The video should show up in the box and play when clicked. Voila!
Be sure to click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.
To add a link to your Speaker Profile, click on Speaker Profile from your Member Home page on the left sidebar.
Then, scroll down to Video of Presentation and paste in your link.
Or you can embed a link here too in the Presentation Description box. Use the Show Source icon again and paste the link. Here is mine: https://www.scbwi.org/speakers/carrie-pearson
